Here, facts are not exclusely 'object(ive)' but emerge from the intersubjective play of art and science

'Things' are those object we cannot define, things beyond the object(ivity)

'Thing-Kinship' describes a kinship with 'things': connections with arte-facts and living things that are constantly changing; the stuff left over, and the 'noise' left in the wake of a new technology, the masses of 'stuff' thrown out when technology becomes outdated.

we can see Ecological noise in the wake of Artificial intelligence, as material objects, ecosystems and physical environments becomes worthless with the substitution of generative images, texts and visualisations. we suggest that Arte-fact intelligence is a better philosophy to embrace than the purely artifical

Makeshifting is a process of making-do with makeshift solutions, temporary zones of change through making whilst we wait for more larger timespan thinking to become available (changing through making)
Combinations of different artefacts make up different thoughts. One of our projects, called 'Artefact Intelligence' (Ar.I.), looks at the sub-plot in A.I. narratives and attempts to design artefacts to help visualise this space. Every artefact tells a story, informing us of the world-view of those people that made that object. As this project develops, a language of objects will be collated. The starting point is the building of circuits to contrast the processes involved in mainstream commercial silicon chip industries. As tools change, so does our thinking. Different machines, different thinking.
